Description

The Sales Representative maintains and improves the Company's competitive position and insures maximum sales volume at minimum cost in the Installation & Maintenance division. The Sales Representative monitors customer perceptions and attitudes towards the Company's services. Identifies and reports to Supervisors specific customer preferences, wishes, requests for service, complaints, and timely and satisfying solutions to complaints. Develops and directs specific promotions for target accounts.

Job Responsibilities

  1. To bring a consistent flow of profitable new Installation & Maintenance business to the Company, through the company’s sales and marketing plan
  2. Respond promptly to all inquiries and proposal requests
  3. To prepare and present approved proposals in a complete and professional manner
  4. To maintain a company-owned database of current customers, prospective customers, and past customers to support the marketing and sales effort
  5. To provide advice to the appropriate personnel on credit and collection matters related to work sold
  6. Represents the Company in appropriate organizations to build relationships that lead to qualified new business
  7. Anticipates customer needs with positive solutions timely effected; assists in the sales of change order work and contract extras
  8. Maintains an accurate sales database

 

Requirements/Qualifications:

 

  1. Previous experience as a sales representative within the landscaping/horticulture industry
  2. Knowledge of landscape contracting services, terminology, and practices
  3. Outstanding communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  4. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills
  5. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer skills
  7. Must have a valid driver's license
  8. Must have reliable transportation
  9. Must have own land measuring tools
  10. Energetic Self-starter
  11. Excellent Interpersonal Skills
  12. Excellent Organization Skills
  13. Excellent Command of the Technical Requirements of the Database and Word Processing
  14. A Keen Eye for the Attention-to-detail Requirements of Estimating and Sales Activities  

 

Commission Package:

  • Competitive base salary
  • 8% commission on all landscape sales transactions
  • Monthly sales target bonus.
